an Arabic word that means “a hug”. It also refers to the act of “bringing together”. And it also refers to a ‘tashkeel’ used in the Arabic language that aids in pronouncing the sound of the letters.

Founded in 2021 in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, DAMMAH was established with the goal to empower socioeconomic opportunities that benefit communities whose work preserve culture, heritage and identity in modern and creative ways.

True to its name, DAMMAH to-date has collaborated with, and ‘brought together’ on its platform some of the beautiful work created by over 30 projects and businesses located across the region and beyond. This as a result expanded their visibility and reach to new markets, thus increasing the impact they create for their own communities.
In addition to creating training, employment and income opportunities; many of the journeys that DAMMAH has become a part of were also able to increase their giving to charitable causes that they themselves deem are important to support.
