Darnah’s “You are the X to my Y” collection by Luris Khoury cleverly captures the essence, and celebrates the uniqueness of Palestinian/Arab culture and heritage through the infusion of humor in its narration making it a unique and inclusive gift for almost any occasion.
Maqloubeh is a traditional Palestinian dish that translates to “upside down,” the dish is traditionally flipped upside down before serving, revealing layers of tender lamb or chicken, fragrant rice, and vegetables (including of course the cauliflower which translates into ‘Zahra’ in Arabic’).
